Dr. Fisher received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Penn State University in 1971. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Temple University Dental School in 1976. After serving three years in the U.S. Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Dr. Fisher returned to school to obtain his postdoctorate degree in Periodontics from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1981. Dr. Fisher has maintained a private practice in Periodontics since 1982 in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Dr. Fisher has been recognized by both the Washingtonian and Checkbook Magazines for outstanding performance in the field of Periodontics.
Dr. Fisher is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, the Southern Maryland Dental Society and the American Academy of Periodontics.
Dr. Fisher has volunteered for the dental clinic at the Hebrew Home of Washington for more than 15 years.
